Go Voice wasn’t always known as Go Voice. Up till 1 st February 2005, we were known as Accos Communication Sdn Bhd .

We began our commercial trials in 1999. We intiated our service trials using the Lucent Packetstar gateway platform. This was a time when calls were sent to clearing houses in the United States . Our users had to enter user id and pin numbers to access our services.

We were incorporated as a subsidiary company of CP (SEA) Group of Companies, a corporate group with approximately RM300 million in assets and whose flagship properties include Eastin Hotel and CP Tower in Petaling Jaya. With this substantive brick and mortar asset backing, we have all the means to grow and serve the future.

And that we did!

In 2000, there were a handful of companies that offered the same services. VOIP was the next hot thing. It is not easy to hide a winning formula. Take a successful T.V show. The following season, you see 20 others just like it. Same goes for this business. But the great ones all do one thing at the time of their greatest success. We change the game. We make it harder for ourselves. We raise the bar. We work not just harder, but we work smarter. This is why the great athletes, politicians, musicians, philosophers all got stronger instead of more weary. We have done the same. Soon the competition was greater than the market as end users found that despite saving immensely on their phone bills, they had to tolerate with bad quality.

We were aware during that time that the quality of a call is as important as the price. We then sought to develop a different strategy. We didn’t want to just provide cheaper calls but quality cheap calls. We moved to a new technological platform. We bought an IP gateway platform that enabled us to manage most of the criteria’s that is involved in call quality. Having the state-of-the-art equipment, we now set forth to begin a Managed Network system that allowed us to manage our bandwidth as well as the level of compression that is to be used.

Together with our partners we constructed our Point-Of-Presence in Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Seremban. We then came up with a Disaster Recover Centre in PJ and KL via an IPLC, where we maintained 2 completely separate yet identical database servers to ensure a high uptime of our services.

With our backbone in place, we set forth to try and provide to our customers with Service Levels that matched Tier 1 telecommunication companies. We could boast that in whichever city we were in, we came with the whole works. We emplaced a full technical team in all the states that we have a presence in. With this, we were able to mostly serve our customers on time. 5 working days is not in our vocabulary. We work all days, everyday is a working day. You, our customers deserve that much.

The years came and went. So did the competitors! We are now one of the few pioneers in the business that has survived the tough competition. We not only survived, we excelled. We had no change of management or ownership. The least can be said for most of our competitors.

We are now in the presently in the next stage of our technological platform migration. We now have a dual platform, that can suit customers that require different service levels. With this dual platform in place we believe that we are now able to further exceed our customers expectation in voice quality and service availability.

We now collaborate with all major voice Telecommunication Providers in Malaysia for our business. We find this as an important success tool for us. This ensures that we are able to keep high up-times for service availability and also provide better call quality.
